June 1, 2025
The U.S. Small Business Administration presented this year’s Small Business of the Year Awards in various categories to businesses from the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and Guam during an awards ceremony presided over by the SBA Administrator, Kelly Loeffler, kicking off National Small Business Week in Washington, D.C. Among the award winners Renaissance Global Services, LLC (RGS) was honored as the SBA’s 2025 National Small Business Subcontractor of the Year. In addition to this prestigious national award, RGS also won the SBA’s 2025 Atlantic Region Small Business Subcontractor of the Year. This is the first time that a New Jersey firm has won this award at the national level.
Tony Martinez, President & CEO of RGS remarked: “It’s a great honor to receive this prestigious award from the SBA. I am thankful for our wonderful clients and colleagues for their guidance and support. It’s also a tribute to the great team here at RGS. I am proud of all our employees who work so hard every day so that we could garner this award!”
Tony Martinez and Tom Zetkulic, RGS’ COO & CFO, were both in attendance at the ceremony along with Rondu Vincent and Ethan Chen of Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS), who took home the SBA’s 2025 Dwight D. Eisenhower Award for Excellence in Manufacturing. Bristol Myers Squibb is one of RGS’ first clients and they have developed an enduring partnership leading to RGS completing multiple sensitive projects for BMS including a complex laboratory consolidation requiring innovative techniques. RGS is grateful to Bristol Myers Squibb for nominating them for the Subcontractor of the Year Award
“Amazing,” said Tom Zetkulic. “Thinking back to our first days 15 years ago, we could have never envisioned receiving this award. It has been an amazing journey.”

Each year, the SBA celebrates National Small Business Week by recognizing the achievements of outstanding small business owners and entrepreneurs across the United States. During National Small Business Week, the SBA shines a spotlight on our nation’s 34 million small businesses recognizing the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. Small businesses have accounted for two-thirds of net new jobs over the past 25 years and more than half of America’s labor force either works for or owns a small business.
