RGS also directed the remediation program; redesigned IFC drawings and performed forecasting processes to improve budget accuracy.
Construction
Construction costs: Construction costs were streamlined by RGS’ PM/CM by meeting with the A/E and challenging the deliverables that were not needed to produce the same product and meet FDA’s guidelines. This resulted in a construction cost in line with project budget.
Project schedule: RGS’ PM/CM was instrumental in re-planning per the pared down costs to produce a more efficient schedule; Microsoft Project and Primavera were used to produce the schedules.
Construction utilizing a robust communication platform, extremely challenging during the pandemic social distancing; RGS effectively managed the work by the GC and subcontractors to assure that project specifications met all applicable codes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Guidelines.
Drawings and Documentation:
RGS managed the project team including the A/E and GC and the flow of the contract documents.
RGS was a value add to AKORN in that our highly qualified PM/CM met and exceeded the technical skills needed for the Alcohol Remediation Project, as well for other related site projects that AKORN is currently undertaking. Seventy-five percent of the Owner’s 2021 site capital budget is currently being managed by RGS.
